- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, mix melted butter and sugar until well combined. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add this to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let them cool completely in the pan.
- In a medium bowl, beat together peanut butter and softened butter until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar and mix until creamy.
- Spread this mixture evenly over the cooled brownie base.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips and heavy cream. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth.
- Pour the ganache over the peanut butter layer, spreading evenly with a spatula.
- Chill the brownies in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before cutting and serving. Enjoy!
Notes
Don’t overmix the batter to keep the brownies tender. Let the brownies cool completely before adding the peanut butter layer. If the ganache isn’t smooth, add a splash more cream and heat gently.
