  • Author: Mala
  • Total Time: 25-30 minutes
  • Yield: 12 biscuits 1x

Description

These Easy Breakfast Butter Swim Biscuits are fluffy, buttery, and incredibly easy to make, perfect for busy mornings or impressing guests. With a unique butter swimming technique, they deliver moist and flavorful comfort food.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour (sifted)
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup whole milk (room temperature)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted, plus more for brushing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, mix the melted butter with the milk. Pour this mixture into the dry ingredients, and stir gently until just combined.
  4. Pour the remaining melted butter into a baking dish (about 9×13 inches), tilting it to coat the bottom evenly. Spoon dollops of the biscuit dough into the dish, leaving some space in between each one.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the biscuits are cooked through. Brush with extra melted butter right when they come out of the oven.

Notes

Using high-quality butter enhances the flavor. You can customize with cheese, herbs, or bacon.
